Steak is always a real treat and what makes this beef dish special is that you can easily feed two hungry people from one lush steak. It is by far one of my favourite steak dishes and is based on the Italian dish of steak tagliata which just means cut. The steak takes mere minutes to make and then is transferred to a dish with a little dressing that acts as a post cook marinade and then later becomes salad dressing too.
If you have steak I think you have got to have chips and although, I love a good chip. I do not want to start deep frying instead so what i do is simply steam some baby new potatoes until tender. Then i tip them into a pan with a little oil and fry them until golden brown. To heighten their savouriness I add Aromat seasoning, sea salt flakes, garlic granules and oregano.
Meaning in all I can have this luscious feast for two ready in under 30 minutes and let me tell you, you would never know modest in appearance but big on flavour.
