Leah Zabari, an expat from the UK and an avid blogger decided she wanted to spread some love by coming up with the idea of "Sugar Boxes". Leah told LifeHakx that she wanted to support local businesses in the community by buying their products and bundling them up into a suprise gift box to market to people near and far. Each gift box is unique: when choosing, the client can pick from a number of subjects to make up the perfect gifts for themselves or their loved ones. All products are sourced locally and come from a broad selection of things from the Lac Leman areas of Switzerland and France. Mary C , LifeHakx presenter, pointed out that now during the "pandemic", people are feeling isolated even when not alone and the economic hardships caused by lockdowns makes it the perfect time to really focus on "shopping locally" and supporting small business owners now more than ever before. It is also a lovely idea to surprise someone in the community, a loved one or even yourself with a little gift box from Sugarbox Fairy. After all (as Mary sung "Spoonful of sugar", made famous and sung much better by Julie Andrews) "A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down", and we all need a little bit of pain relief and treats in these difficult and uncertain times"
