The King & I is showing now for the first time in its original English version at Theater 11 in Zurich.
The Theater was humming with excitement which was rewarded by the rich colours of costumes and set alike. Though there were some technical issues with lighting, everything else lived up to the imagery of The King & I. Well-choreographed dancing, and the beautiful sound of the orchestra complimented the wonderful voices of the talented singers.
I especially loved that the leading lady who played Anna actually sounded like Deborah Kerr from the original movie with Yul Brynner!
Choosing a favourite scene would be difficult as each part was as well performed and elegant as the other though I will always love the Small House of Uncle Thomas, for its dance, music and symbolism.
This is a must see! Find more info. and book you tickets here!
